ABA Therapy?

FAQs
You may be wondering:
How long will it take to begin services for my child?
Your projected start date will depend on several factors such as your location, need, and hours. In general, our clients will typically get assessed 1-3 weeks after reaching out and often begin services 2-4 weeks after that. We don’t keep long wait lists, and we try to give you a ballpark expectation early on in the process. Filling out this form will help us learn more about what you need and get you started.
How long will it take to begin services for my child?
After you have an ASD diagnosis from your assessing doctor, you will need to contact us using this form or by calling the number at the top of this page. We take care of the rest and will begin setting up your assessment with a BCBA as soon as we verify your insurance eligibility.
Do you provide evaluations and diagnoses for Autism or only ABA treatment?
We do not diagnose autism. We only treat children who have already been diagnosed with Autism spectrum.
What if I don’t have an autism diagnosis for my child yet?
You can be in touch here anyway. As autism service providers, we’ve done the research so that you find the help you need faster. Parents like you can reach out to any of our diagnostic partners on our referral list to finally discover what lies behind their child’s developmental delays.
What if I know my child does NOT have autism spectrum disorder?
If you know that your child definitely does not have ASD, then, unfortunately, insurance will not cover the ABA therapy.
Can I pay out of pocket if my child doesn’t have an ASD diagnosis?
You DO have the option of paying out of pocket, though it can be costly. ABA therapy is successful when done steadily and consistently which is why insurance companies will typically cover 8 -35 hours per week. The hours add up quickly. If you still would like to hear out-of-pocket rates, then please get in touch
How many hours of ABA will my child receive?
That depends on many factors such as age, setting, level of need, and more. You will only get our recommendation once the child is fully assessed by our BCBA. Children receive 10-30 hours per week on average but some need less and some as many as 40 hours per week.
Do I need to be home during my child’s sessions?
If your child is receiving therapy at home, yes. An adult other than the treating specialists will need to be at home for the entire duration of all in-home sessions. If your child is receiving therapy in school, or in the clinic parents do not need to be present during sessions.
Do you do CBT, OT, PT, feeding or speech therapy?
No we do not. The only type of therapy we provide is ABA therapy. For occupational and speech therapy, reach out to The Therapy Place, our partner in autism treatment.
What happens if I need to reschedule my sessions?
We understand that life happens and sometimes, last minute schedules are inevitable. Let your team know ASAP if you need to change any details regarding your scheduled sessions and we will work with you to reschedule. Frequent cancelations are subject to the natural consequences of inconsistency.
